A Passion for Storytelling Since 1992
My journey into filmmaking began in 1992 with one of New York's forward-thinking video production studios, where authentic storytelling and cinematic editing were embraced long before they became the industry standard. It was there that I developed a passion for creating films that capture genuine emotion, meaningful moments, and the unique story behind every celebration.
As my editing skills grew, I transitioned into commercial production, first as an assistant editor with a New York editorial company and later joining Bates USA, one of the country's leading advertising agencies. During my time there, I helped revive the agency's in-house editing capabilities by demonstrating the potential of an underutilized editing system. As the department expanded and invested in new technology, I became one of its editors, working alongside a team of talented freelancers on commercial projects and new business presentations.
Inspired to build something of my own, I reached out to several respected wedding studios while still working at Bates. The response was immediate, and I quickly established relationships with studios that entrusted me with editing their wedding and event films. With a solid foundation of freelance work in place, I founded Anthony Lomoro Videography in 2001.
Over the years, I continued editing for many of Brooklyn's respected studios while building my own company. During the height of the Same Day Edit era, I was also trusted to create cinematic highlight films that were edited on the wedding day and presented during the reception. Working under those demanding deadlines sharpened my storytelling, creativity, and attention to detail—qualities that continue to define every film I create today.
